OK, we ran into problems. Running the half height body mounts the headers hit against the bottom of the car. And with regular height body mounts you will only gain 3/8 of an inch clearance where you might have problems with the clamps. Here's a couple of pics.

What's your drive-train angle? Can you lower the rear of the trans and still have 2* to 3*?

2.5-3* is right..........I was hoping clearance might be as simple as lower the rear mount.

Default American racing headers and DSE sub

I see DSE offers several different motor stands,060401 and 060404. Maybe changing those could help?

Dan has both sets at his shop, the height is the same. The other set moves the engine back 1 1/2" to use the DSE headers. Going to try a different brand.

If you have not decided on headers, I would recommend Lemons headers; perfect fit

I know a couple other guys on here that have run into various issues drivetrain wise running the half height body bushings.... makes a guy wonder if they're worth using.

Looks to me like you have floor mods in your future.

Kook's makes headers for a 1st gen running an LSx. http://www.kookscustomheaders.com/show.php?pid=868

Great quality to go along with the asking price. I've always been impressed with Kook's headers. I just really wish they wouldn't use ball collectors. Personal preference but I hate ball collectors. I have no clue if they will fit your subframe though.
