Default I hate FedEx...

They absolutely suck for deliveries in my rural area. Out of the last 11 packages they've delivered here, ten of them were late/lost, in most cases 2-5 days. They show an item out for delivery yet the tracking shows it's still a town away. Twice in the last five times when they finally find it they input the wrong zip code and put it on a truck for delivery on the other side of town; it'll take 1-2 days to get it back on track. Had some frozen steaks a week or two ago that were shipped on a Thursday, and took until the following Wednesday to arrive; they shipped from a town less than an hour from here.

I understand things go wrong, but their service is at a level that baffles me that they remain in business. For me UPS is THE way to go. Rarely late, often a day earlier than expected. And the guy gets here around 10:30 a.m. instead of late afternoon.

Your mileage may vary... Today I'm waiting on a piece that was supposed to be here Tuesday, then Wednesday (showed out for delivery), then this morning I see they put it on the wrong truck again.

I help you bust some knee caps at Fedex if you join me at USPS. HA They have robbed me. I tried EDDM which is every door direct where the mailman puts a post card in every box on the route. Well, I just happen to be on the route along with clients. I'd be lucky to get every other one and it was very sporadic with my clients. I came to the conclusion since there was no way to track it, they likely got thrown in the garbage on the way back to the shack. They also lost a 403b retirement rollover check which ended up costing us decent money due to a deadline for buying years through PERS expiring and needing a new contract at a higher buy rate. Why the investment company sent it my snail mail is beyond me.

Thank you for the opportunity to rant with you. ha As a friend of mine said, "First world problems!"

Jody, I’ve had this EXACT same service from FedEx for the last year here in N Ga. always at least a day late. Might show up at 2pm….might show up at 8pm. Don’t ever believe the tracking because it’s wrong. I always ask for UPS if given a choice and I’ll pay the 5 bucks extra.
Ordered a set of custom made Billet Specialties wheels for my C1500 I just sold. This was last year. They show up FedEx. Guy backs up to shop door and starts throwing these big wheel boxes on the ground right in front of me…. I’m like HEY, THESE ARE FOUR THOUSAND DOLLAR WHEELS!!!! He says OH, i was wondering what these were. I’ve been hauling them around for two days now….
True story.

Wink

I have exact opposite problem. Usually FedEx is close to on time. UPS, it's anyone's guess.

The tracker is even funnier. Last package I got from UPS, the reminder email said it was being delivered that day. Followed link to the website.. package was checked in that a.m. in Texas Got it 3 days later.

No complaints about UPS or Fedex here - they are on time pretty much all the time. USPS is another story. I use informed delivery with them and letters / packages are routinely late by days.

Fedex is excellent, in fact nearly perfect, at every single thing on earth EXCEPT putting me and a package in the same location, the only frikken thing they do! 6 years in my home and not ONCE did they ever successfully deliver a package to my address. Not. Once. Ever.
