Default affordable shocks

Is there a reasonably priced shock out there for my 68 dropped 1" front 1.5" rear camaro. It would be nice if I could get them at a local autozone/advance.

thanks

Bilsteins would be a good choice. Cheap and good just don`t go together when it comes to shocks. Are the more expensive ones really worth the extra cash? YES THEY ARE. Drop makes no difference, the stock length shocks will compress enough to smash the headers on the pavement already. Shorter ones would only limit droop travel which does you no good. You only need shorter shocks on low riders. Mark SC&C

I agree with Marcus but reality causes compromise. I like KYB for daily driver type shock that is better than the auto parts store stuff. I did a friends 66 Chevelle with the KYB Gas adjust units up front and GR2s in the back. The gas adjust units have firmer valving and are to stiff out back and make the rear end choppy. This car has poly bushings, second gen camero spindles and brake conversion with trans am 32mm front sway bar and a stock rear bar and the shocks work good with this daily driver package. I also have a set on my lowered 1993 c1500 and I have 100k plus miles on that set of KYBs and they are still going strong.
