The owner did get the car back after a trip to Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services with court order the blaster had no choice but to release the car,the lowlife had to nerve to kick in both doors, pound on the hood with some metal rod and threw the deck lid making a dent and folding edge before the car was picked up,I saw the damage only after almost week,he called his buddy cop ,the cocky fool who was going to arrest us for tresspasing didn't say a word after seeing the court order ,as I've been telling the owner ,the law should be always on the consumer's side especially when there is no paperwork

I just wish the owner saw all the damage on the bolt-on parts before picking up,cause the blaster would be looking at about $10k bill

So let me get this straight, he got the car back but the owner of the shop beat the hell out of the car and left it with 10k in damages?
And there isn't a law suit or a beat down in progress?

Was the shop owner in court when the court order was instated ? How much time did he have with the car after he knew the order was in effect?

If it was me and I got a court order, i would have headed straight to the shop after leaving the courthouse and got my car. That way the guy never would have had any time to damage my car....

That sucks....now you have to sue him for the damages

Default woah no way

i have had three cars done full cars complete that were delivered disasembled of cours

1500-2000 per car for total soda blasting

you are getting hosed without vasaline

the only way would be if you handed him a whole car and asked him to blast the whole thing then reasemble it

and 100 an hour for blasting ?

wow thats nuts.

You know that you can go after him now right? If he destroyed the bolt-on bits provided that you have pictures of them BEFORE they entered his shop.

No lawyer in their right mind would defend this guy when presented with the previous release order, and the bill for damages after the fact.

I wouldn't even look for new parts. I would fix the ones he messed up and make him pay for every penny of labor, materials, and whatever else. He wants to play, show him that you're better at the game.

that sounds crazy to me

BMW, road rally race car, some places 1 inch bondo, and a million coats of paint $2700

Nomad both quarters 1/4 inch bondo, 10 coats paint, 2 layers undercoating
full body, and frame $2500

Sounds a little far fetched to me
