Default Paint for subframe

I am ready to paint my subframe and I am searching for a durable paint that can withstand heat, grease, etc. I can't powdercoat due to some body filler used to smooth out a few areas. Thanks

I had painted the underside of my car in Aug 2017 with SPI black epoxy. I received a gallon in July2017 along with the activator. Wondering if it still good, it has been in the cabinet since we used it in Aug. 17.

Should be ok but give it a good stir to make sure pigment hasnít separate. Activator will be ok.

Any doubts mix up a small amount and do a spray out test panel.

Don, I called SPI and they said same thing, "As long as it hasn't separated epoxy should be good". They also added you should flip paint can every 3 months to assure no separation. Thanks for your help!

I called SPI again and asked about the shelf life of the Activator. They said once you open the activator it is good for 1 year.

I just read SPI User Forum, Barry says 2-3 years and another sales person tells me 1 year after opened. I wish they would get on the same page.

Iíll listen to Barry. You could send him a text on the tech line. He answers quickly.
