Default quick opinion on ralleys

Ok.. so im selling the fats and skinnies off my car and i plan on putting the factory ralley wheels on the car.. i belive they are 15x7's.. this is just temporary until my 17s and 18s get ordered.. the front of the car is pretty low(tucks about 1/2 and inch of a p165). i was wondering if any one knew off the top of their head what the best size tire to run is.. i was thinking a 255/60/15 in the rear and 245or35/60/15 in the front.. do you guys think ill have to raise it back up or will it fit? is the 60 series side wall too much for a cornering car? i plan on selling my wheel TODAY and i have to put new tires on the ralleys.. any help would be appreciated.. btw. they have 215/60/15's on them right now and they make me gag..

I am going to do the same thing with my Nova. Drive it for a couple years on steel wheels to get the bugs worked out then order some nice bling wheels.
I am going to go with 235/60/15 on a 15x8 for the front and 295/50/15 on a 15x10 for the rear (mini-tubbed). Front tire is 26.1" dia and the rear is 26.7" diameter. I know a 235/60/15 will fit on a 7" wheel. I picked 8" so I got a little less tire bulge in the front than the rear.

There is nothing wrong with rally wheels. Just think outside the box and they can look killer on your car.

My friend has 20" rallies on the front with 235's and his car sits pretty low. You'll probably be fine with 235 or 245 in the front:

damn.. those 20inch ralleys are awesome

sooooo.. i did some more measuring they are 15x8 inch ralleys with a 3.5bs.. that sounds kinda weird to me.. did 15x8 even come with 3.5bs? how is this gonna skew my situation?

Ryan those do look very nice on your friend's 69... not something you see every day.

Not sure about the backspacing, etc., but here's a pic for you to compare - these are 15x7 ralleys with 225/60/15's on the front and 245/60/15's on the back, hotchkis suspension (will probably settle more, suspension was new and not a lot of weight in the car). I went with 225/60's on the front because I thought the 235/60's would look too big with the lower stance, and might rub. Now I'm thinking the 225's look a bit too small. I think on a 15x8 inch rim a 235/60 would be perfect on the front of a first gen camaro with a lowered stance. I'm in the same boat as you, these ralleys are temporary until I get everything else done and the car actually on the road, then I'll upgrade to 17's (probably Vintage Wheel Works V45's)
