Want to see the build from beginning till now? Or just the "Readers Digest" version?

Got the car stripped down to nothing. Cut out the inner fender wells, rear lower vent scoops, side exhaust holes through the rocker panels, and welded in a brake vent tube. Then I sent off to the media blaster on April 10th, 2006. Supposedly done in 3-5 days.

Default Back from the media blaster

Got it back from the media blaster on May 9th. Nothing but virgin metal:

After much thought, I decided to go ahead and epoxy primer everything. No sense in having to remove all the rust again. Plus I feel like I have gotten somewhere

Default More Metal Work

Strengthened the lower shock towers that can be a problem on these old Mustangs:

Min tubbed the rear all the way to the frame rails. Not going to be using leaf springs on this car:

Roll bar:

Floor pans:

Shock tower conduit:

Got the coilover rear end home.

After carefully measuring I tack welded it in to place. Loosened all the bolts, measured again, and then finished the welding. I also installed side mounting plates to give additional strength.

Installed the Currie 3.25:1 differential, torque arm, and side subframe braces.

Got the chance to install the X Brace, Rear Shelby 12" brakes and lines, UP front coilover suspension and Shelby 13" front brakes. Wow, a lot more work behind the scenes that is not mentioned.
