Default better Pics

Nothing new just better Pics, I have to finish the passenger toe board and install the driver still. I took the last few days off from the car because of a memorial for some fallen friends.... and now I'm waiting on this Hurricane to pass to get some more work done.

I had to move everything inside including all the scraps from the original floor. I have the chainsaw on standby for this storm.

I sold my silverado I kept my wheels if they wont work on the 2010 I'll be getting rid of them... if anyone is interested feel free to PM me.

Default New floor install

I got the one piece floor in and much to my suprise the subframe bolted right up and everything went well on that end.

Yesterday I cut out the trunk pan, the more I looked at the tailpan the more I knew it needed to be replaced aswell. I saved myself about 100 spotwelds by just cutting it out as one piece. The previous owner did a pretty terrible job doing Qtr skins which left me 5 spot welds on each side of the tail pan, and a huge discusting bead weld on the bottom of the qtr I needed to cut.

I started to mock everything up in the trunk area, I still need to make some fill plates for the trunk floor. I am waiting on a new outer wheelhouses, tailpan and inner panel. I am still debating if I want to replace the Qtrs while I'm in there. I dont do it now I think I will kick myself later.

Has anyone had any issues with Qtrs from National Parts Depot? I got my floors there figured I would use them again.

well on to the pictures

If I remember right slide the box end of a 9/16 wrench over the end of it and pull the cable. It sounded too easy but worked after a couple trys.

Good progress and metal work. I wonder where you ordered the toe boards and floorpan from as I also need to replace the toe boards on floors on both sides..

Nice progress. It's starting to look like a car again.

The floor fit pretty well.

I wasnt that impressed with the toeboards the stamps werent all that great, which didnt matter all that much as I didnt use the whole piece anyway. I still havent finished grinding the welds yet.

Has anyone used NPD quarters?

John,

It's been almost a month since the last update. Got anything new for us?

Oh...and clean out your mail box.
