Default Por15

Well i have found that we have an australian distributor for this product that you all talk about so often, it's not cheap though.

I am taking the 68 shell back to metal for it's respray, now my question is regarding the underbody. The guy who i bought the car off was in the middle of resto, had all the door jambs, and engine bay painted in this horrid green colour. He also spread the nasty green on the underside everywhere. (thankfully he cleaned up the underside quite well before doing this. I'm not sure whether he has used an acrylic or enamel, and i'm not real keen on scrubbing it all off from the underside.

What por15 product should i use to do the underside with? Will it stick to the green ok? I don't have access to a rotisserie, so bear in mind this will be done on jackstands possibly.

Hey Ray -
Long time no talk. Anyway, for your underbody - clean off as much of the green as you can, either by sandblasting or at least scuffing it so the POR-15 has something good to adhere to. Just use regular POR-15 in chassis black or gloss black. As long as it does not have direct UV (and unless you plan on rolling your car) it will last forever.

yeah, been a little quiet lately... saving for paint.

So you you think the por15 will stick to just about anything? I would like to get it all blacked out before i start hanging exhaust etc.
