Looking good, Wayne. I like your choice of rims. Good luck with the car and your hip.

Thanks guys, I sent the car out to do some wiring on it.

Here are some pictures of it on the road, well above the road really.
I hoped the first time out the tires would be on the ground!

Up Up and away!

And delivered safely!

Now to finish the wiring in the garage, insulate, and maybe sheet rock.

Man I wish GM hadn't taken so much out of the ECU on the connect and cruise package. No PWM for the fans ( there is a patch for that ) now it's no signal to show current gear to the dash. I should have gotten a ZR1 ECU and had stuff removed. It's been $100 here and 150 there to get the RTX dash to show what I want.
I wish I would have known, Meaning the GM ECM not the dash.

I think the issue is that Series of ECU was used with the 6L80E which has an internal TCM which communicated the gear directly to the BCM. The ECM had no need to send the gear info anywhere. They didn’t take it out, it was never there.

It's what Don was saying in the post before you, it's nothing with the RTX dash it's that the ECM doesn't use the signal needed to show the gear selected. They have a box to show gear selected you just need to use this box
Dakota Digital GSS-3000 Universal Sender Unit for Gear Shift Position Indicator
Then it will show on the dash.

I've got a small update on the car. The car is out getting wiring and the A/C installed. The wiring for the tail light section ha been neatened up, No picture of that. The A/C has been mocked up and some of the hoses for the heat have been changed to the -10 AN and run to the heat control valve. I needed a lot on different A/C fittings because of all the changes with inter cooler and pumps. But it's just wait for the fittings to be delivered.

Here's the challenges you run into when you run out of room. That RS headlight door has stung me a few time./

Here's where the dryer is going.

There was more progress. I'm running a Dakota Digital RTX gauge set up with a DD cruise control, fan controller, BIM box and because it is a connect and cruise kit the gear Shift indicator sensor.

Here's the plate they're going on

Here are the relays for the cooling fans

Here's the sensor for the gear shift

The trans was tight for connecting the controller wiring, the connector was too close to the floor. Brian dropped the spacer I had to get my drive train angle and took about 1/2" off the spacer and now the plug fits by 1/4". He tigged it back together and painted it up, and now were done with that.

Man, been looking thru your build and there’s been some amazing work done on this car! On your body seam sealer (reference post #299), can you tell me what type that is and it looks like it probably has a special application gun, maybe pneumatic? I’ve been researching seam sealers for my Nova project and i really like the way it covers the seams with “high build”...I’d love to duplicate that on the Nova’s body tub. I appreciate it and keep up the great work!

Shane here is the seam sealer Mike used on my car, the tube is a little hard to read.

I just went online with that number and 3M seam sealer came up.
