Default Protouring Daytona

Power Plant Install Mocked up motor Mounts Hung the Doors and Some more work finished on the Nose and Hood area as well as making custom front chin spoiler. Getting it ready to show in Bare Metal at the Chicago World of Wheels.

Next up is completing the motor combo what we have here is a 600-650 hp rated 400 stroked out to 500 cubic inch Chrysler Engine with Aluminum Edelbrock heads and Billet Specialties true trac Pulley system built by Hensley Racing in Knoxville Tennessee Its Backed up by a 4165E Silver Sport automatic overdrive Transmission with Formula 1 Paddle shift capabilities we are Topping that off with a EFI Expert Mod Man Intake and 6 pack EFI set up this should be a nice rumbly sounding beast

Moving the wheels forward is really a good idea. I don’t know if it would have been possible, but I wonder if a person could have just shortened the front of the fender the same amount as you moved the wheel opening, effectively making the car shorter? It would have been more work and I don’t know if you would have had room for everything. At any rate the work is stellar.

Urn8 That's exactly what Bob Thrash did the Front was moved from 117 wheel base to 120 then Bob Shortened the nose up 3.5" by using 69 charger fenders and trimming the nose so it fits perfect with no ugly Gasket gap like the original it is pure metal art. Just by using 69 fender instead of the 70 fenders that were used in the production of Daytona's and shortening the steel nose it shaved about 6.5" from the front overhang.Big Difference.
