Default Tire Brand Recommendations

Looking for recommendations for what brand of tire to run on my pro-touring 69 Camaro. Looking for something that looks great and has good performance. Street use and I would like to try an autocross at some point just for the experience. What are you guys using?

Best all around Street Tires: Michelin Pilot Super Sports or Pilot Sport 4, The PS4 does everything better than the PSS.

Very good street tire but less money: Continental Extreme Contact Sport

Dirt Cheap: Firestone Indy 500

Sticky and Fast: Bridgestone RE71r or BFG RivalS

Default Just to be wrong . . .

The Nitto NT05 works great, plus it's 200 treadwear, in case you wanted to compete in some of the events that require such a thing. I've done a couple track days with them, and they grip excellently with no surprises. They are quite nice on the street as well--I haven't heard any excessive noise production. They don't even tramline much with square 315s . . .

I have not tried them in rain, as my car does not work in the rain.

agree that Nitto NT05 works great, always use them. I got a good kit, with this tire and car rim Enkei aluminum 16X6J . It looks great, and on the road will manifest itself in the best way. Accidentally picked it up a couple of years ago, and use until this day.

I'm no pro Auto-X guy,but I was happy with the RE71R last year,

This year, I'm on the Rival S, the rear only right now,
I'll get a couple more runs out of the front RE71 before I put the Rival S on.

The only reason I switched to the Rival was the RE71 wasn't to be found in a 315/18

Street? Go with the PS4S realativly quite, looks good, performance is good enough for Porsche. The Rival or alike are sticky and throw lots of rocks and if ya got nice paint...........

***Add Yokohama A052, great in cooler weather and or wet for autocross. Does really well on seal coated lots when the BFG is very bad.

***Add Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperCar 3 Great track day tire, doesn't fall off after a couple of laps, sucks for autox when cold, sucks in the rain

Default 2021 update ?

just about to pull the trigger on a set of Continental Extreme Contact Sport

Unless anyone has any negative feedback..

Going to run race tires on other rims I decided so looking for a good all around street tire.

also These are the same price as the Rival 1.5. do either of these have any figment advantage I may need some room on full lock turn

Default Tire Brands

I have been running the Continental tire for
several years on the front of my car due to limitations
in sizes that fit... Do some mountain carving with no issues
I do run Dot road race tires for tracking and also on the road
