We're flying into Austin on the 4th.... But no on the show. Shows aren't much fun unless you actually have a car there IMHO.

Fly in to Austin, buy a car from SW (aka Street King), drive it to the show.

Problem solved.

Yeah! A twin turbo Lambo would be a real show stopper.....

I've run thru 40 scenarios in an effort to make this tour. Trust me - Gwen and I were really looking forward to it. A stop on the tour is at Pinkee's Rod Shop where my '40 Ford Pickup is being built ---- The Roadster Shop made a special effort to get the new chassis to them in order to have the cab mounted etc -- so we'd have something to look at....

Charley and I have just been discussing -- I could have loaded her up -- stopped in Reno at Summit and picked up a crate LS3 motor and then had Brizio's crew get the motor in and made the trip. If I wasn't right into building a new house -- and we just received our final truckload of household furniture etc on Friday.... and we have meetings this week with builder and architect --- so maybe it's just as well we aren't out of town right now. Otherwise I might have made a herculean effort. We just figured we'd go next year.

Sorry to hear that Greg. My first buddy, second, and third bailed out with work responsibilite's last min so i'm ridin solo once again. Pammy said she would like to go next year too but we'll see.

Hopin to go to T-Hill on the 15th?, but second time on a road course and its the big track, i'm intimidated by it. Maybe i'll see ya there.

Sorry to hear that Greg.

On similar note, my buddies bailed on me too, and I missed the deadline to register the car. So I may show up with my DD.

Damn, I was reminded that this was the same weekend as the Texas Invitational. I may be at GoodGuys for a short time one day (likely Sunday) but Texas Invitational is my priority for that weekend.

How about you fly to Austin a week early and get my car running. You and Gwen can take it to Dallas and run the hell out of it while I'm at a wedding.....

Oh you're a sneaky one.... you are! HA!

I really wish I had the time to get you up and running -- but I can't seem to fix a simple overheating issue... not sure I'm that good of an LS mechanic!

Plan on being there Saturday! If anyone breaks down and needs a shop to mechanic in mines available fairly close to the track.
