That would be great. There must be something different in the headers, although I did hang mine without a gasket just to check, but it had 1 tube touching the knock sensor bolt. Looked to me like the tube could have been routed a bit different improve clearance, but perhaps it would have changed the length too much.

Subscribing! I am anxious to see the finished product! Kudos to you for tackling a lot of the work yourself. Hopefully you can get back on it pretty steady. Good luck!

Thank you! Unfortunately life’s gotten in the way of making substantial progress on this build but I’ve been slowly working away on it. I’ll get some new pics posted up soon. It’s almost ready to start, and all plumbing and wiring are complete.

In the mean time I had a C10 project that was completed and have been playing around with a 2009 ZR1 that I purchased last summer. Gotta get back on the Camaro!

Do you have a build thread for the C10? If not, more photos please!

Trust me we all here understand as we never seem to have enough time. The car looks great and I am looking forward to your next update.

Love the C10 and I am with you as I bought a Cayman R to fill the void while I am working on my Camaro.

I understand completely! Between my almost 7-year old twins and every other daily thing, I have only logged minutes of work for my project in the past week. It's a slow process, but it is all rewarding. Looking forward to updates.

Haha! Yes, details! I bought the C10 several years ago from a guy that had converted it from a long bed. He put a new box on it and painted it the truck’s original color. The cab and front clip had original paint, and still do. It came with the truck arm rear suspension, turbo 400 and the ever so gutless 307. When it was converted to a SWB, it was c notched and the front suspension was dropped as well. It ran with shortened coil springs. The cab had the usual rust issues in the rockers and cab corners. I drove it for a few years like this and pretty much used it as a cruiser and shop truck. The first pic is a pic of it back then.

When Covid started I got a wild hair to completely blow the truck apart and revamp it. I took it apart in march of 2020 and had it back on the road one year later. I repaired all the rust in the cab, installed complete TCI front and rear coil over suspension, installed an L33 All aluminum LS with a 4L60e I had sitting in the shop, Wilwood disc brakes with hydro boost, new wheels and tires, relocated the gas tank, and all new electrical and plumbing. Here’s a bunch of random picks from the build. Unfortunately I didn’t write a build thread for it.

x2 Looks great! I wish those L33s weren't so hard to come by. I'd love to use one in a build one day.
