Default 1952 Chevy 3100

I made a 7 hour journey to Pennsylvania and picked this truck up on St. Patrick's Day. I got it in the shop yesterday and started running through it, getting an initial assessment on the truck.

What I've got is a very original 1952 Chevrolet 3100, still running the 216CI inline 6 cylinder, with the 3 speed on the column. The truck is still a 6 volt system. The truck came with 4 new tires, a new wood bed kit, tailgate, and some random paperwork.

So far what I've found, the truck is pretty solid aside from both the kick panels. I found one of the wheel bearings was completely destroyed, so I rebuilt the front brakes, on both sides and threw in new bearings. Of course I found some interesting wiring which i've started to fix as I find it.

The overall plan for this truck is to keep it on the road as much as I can, Try to enjoy it while I work on it. Initial plans are
-New Glass
-Convert to 12V system
-New Wiring Harness
-Disc Brakes

Way down the road I'll get real serious and do a frame swap and an LS but thats not until the Camaro is finished.

Now the reason everyone is here....Pics.

She's got a few pedals....

Wheel Bearing,or what used to be a wheel bearing

Got to the brakes, to discover i was missing this retention pin for the brake shoes, had to phone a lot of buddies and one eventually turn up.

Maybe someone can help me out here, I know the C is Choke, what is T supposed to be hooked to? I found the Cable in the engine bay not hooked up. T=throttle? T=timing?

Taillight wasn't working, started pealing back the Electric tape to find this.

Heres a shot of the kick panels, Im afraid to remove these patches

That's a nice find. I'm sure there's more than a few mysteries waiting to be discovered. No way it's one missing pin and on hacked electrical splice. I love the starter pedal...that's pretty cool and it's the perfect time of the year to just cruise around in it as is and enjoy.

I dig the full frame and LS plan. Congrats man, that's pretty cool.

Here's a great read on your T knob. It's a throttle control...

Great find, by the way!
