Default 79 Trans Am (project Tiger Hawk)

Well I thought it was time I started a build thread here on lateral g,I have one over on PT.com.I have been working on this car for a couple years now,the car started off as a running and driving 79 firebird with a v6 in it.I brought it in the shop and stripped it down removed all the floor pans,I built a new frame from the subframe back so the car now has a full frame under it.I have the new floor pans all mocked up still have to go back and weld them in then I am going to focus on getting it back to a rolling chassis. It has been about a month since I last worked on it havent had much time due to other projects. Here is a few pics of it as it sits now.

Looks great, Those birds are starting to pick up more momentum. I have had a few more than normal calls about working on them lately.

Well its been forever since I last posted here on my build thread not much has changed on the car over the last several months been so busy on customer projects and not enough time for my own.I was going with a 400 in this car but changed plans and picked up a LS which is what I really wanted from the start,I ordered all my motor and trans mounts got the engine bolted down where I want it so I can start taking measurements to begin cutting the firewall.I changed directions from a 4 link rear to a 3 link and now I am in the process of getting all the brackets fabbed up on the 9 inch rear end housing so I can get everything fitted in the car.[/IMG] here I installed a set of my custom built coil covers on the engine the truck intake is getting changed out for a holley hi ram EFI intake[/IMG]I still have to go back and weld the floors all in tight [/IMG]
