Default Project supercharged 68 camaro

With all these cool builds happening on this site I couldn't help wanting to share mine!

I have been wanting to buy a 1st gen camaro for a while and with limited time on my hands these days I knew I would have to buy something finished or close to it. I started looking on ebay and classic auto trader and of course craigslist. I ended up finding one and after some haggling with the broker selling it I was the new owner.

The car is a 68 with what seems like a decent restoration already and some good parts like a new crate ls3 a new 4l60 trans and some good bolt on suspension parts as wel as a bolt on 4 link.

After taking delivery of the car I did a couple changes like adding the RS front end and ditching the 5 inch cowl hood. After that and a handful of other things I had been driving it every chance I got. With the idea of building a DSE inspired driver I planned to tear into the car once the rain hit and that I did.

Here are some pics of the car before I torn it down.

Great looking ride. Be sure to check out our line of superchargers. We have our very popular Ls swap kit that fits excellent in the first gen Camaro. Here is an example

More of the dse mini tub and quadralink install. I have to say this whole kit was a pleasure to install and was nice to see very well thought out instructions by the manufacturer.

Good call on raising the trunk corners for exhaust clearance while mini-tubbing. I had to go back and do mine after the fact
You've got a great looking car to start with, can't wait to see the finished product!

One additional item I wish I'd done is DSE's fuel pump access panel in the trunk floor...it's a huge time saver down the road! Good luck

I wish I could take credit for thinking of the trunk corners ahead of time but it was your thread that made it clear to me it was a must
The access panel for the fuel pump has also crossed my mind and is probably going to happen before paint.
