Something else to consider. There is exactly one 335 out there that is 200TW and legal to run for most of these events.

That's a good point, for some reason I thought NT555s went to 335 as well, I guess not. What else would be going on in terms of suspension other than an aftermarket subframe and fender tweaking/flaring? It's hard to imagine anyone would develop a better suspension than what a lot have companies have to offer.
