Default 72 Nova wide body " Frodo went rogue"

2014. 11
The story starts here.
On the way back to Hungary from Germany with the new project.
Pretty ugly matte black exterior and interior with a factory 307 and automatic.
I name it Frodo because of the overall poor condition.
BUT it was love from the first sight. I knew this car will be very special here later on as I have the money to start.

2015.11

Frodo is getting better.
I did not pay attention for the exterior this time but he got a lot of goodies.
6.0 GenIV block
BTR stage II cam
Ported/polished Ls3 heads
Stainless works headers and turbo mufflers
6l90E transmission with 3000stall circle D converter
Modified factory 10 bolt rear with 3.73
5th gen Camaro center consol (fully functional manual mode with paddle shifter)
Evo Lancer Recaro seats
Baer Pro+ 14" brake system front and rear
Ridetech 4 link and coilovers front and rear
Speedtech control arms and ATS spindles
Forgeline Zx3R 18x9 + 18x10 wheels
Dakota VHX instruments

The car was pretty strong for the street ( around 500hp) and pulled crazy as the circle D 3000stall converter was installed. Driving in manual mode using paddle shifters are awesome. I did not need anything alse.

However I lost turning radius which was a pretty bad thing and I started to hate by the time.
The look of the car started to bothering me as well.

2016.11- recently

I decided to start over again. But this time to have something really special.
Something that can be a real eye catching.
I know the Nova never be on that level where the 1st gen Camaros are staying now even if you spend hundreds of thousands but we can try. Right?

So here we go.
No rendering. No exact plan. We go as our hearts and taste dictates.
We had some upgrade that we decided from the beginning.
1st: C6 Corvette chassis modified to fit under the Nova.
No IRS this time that might be a future plan if necessary
Using the same Ridetech shocks and 4 link
Same Baer brake system

2st: Due to the wide C6 chassis compared to the original nova body it have
to be widened as necessary

I have a bunch of pics of the widening process but I put only the final result here. It was not easy and was expensive as hell till I got the body I wanted.
It is not so brutal as I wanted to stay close to the original Nova look and wanted to stay legal on the street.
Of course during this process we modified other areas as well. Like:
Hood
Front bumper
Rear bumper
Rear tail light panel
Rear tubs

The body is almost ready.
I want a small spoiler at the rear. That is all.

I started to put together the interior and exterior in my head.
I had so many ideas but now I am pretty sure I will go with the SCCA trans am look in a modern version and 70's Porsche interior design.

Thank you Guys!

Blake,
We tried to make the car to look rounded just like the 1st gen Camaros and we wanted something different that we did not see before.
