Default Chevy High Performance goes Nuclear!

Well, it only took 10.5 years to build, but finally I get to show you the car..,

Rather than send build pics, I thought it okay to send two pics of the latest issue of Chevy High Performance in hard copy.

Here goes..,

Hey guys, thanks for looking, and give me feedback.., do you like yet another red 68 Camaro?

Merry Christmas and GOD bless..,

Thanks WaynieZ!
The photo shoot and write-up took over a year to accomplish, and access to the nuclear plant for photo shoot was also a challenge.., but it is finally in ink.
My wife and I are not a bit proud! Ha Ha

The stance of the car is outstanding, and I think you extended the rockers too? I can only hope mine turns out that good.

sd67, Thanks for the kind words..,
And YES, we extended the rocker panels exactly 2" using 16 gauge steel.
But get this, we hand shaped and extended the rear quarters as well, downward, a full 3", and extended the fronts a whopping 3/4". All in steel.,

Why 16 gauge steel on the rockers?

Overkill? Yes?

Here is why.., I needed structure cause I'm not running with a roll cage and we did many many things to make this car body rigid.

WSSix,
Thank you.

Think about this.., I started this project on August 28, 2000..,

It took me that long to pay for parts and have the time..,

The last fastener for the car was a speaker cover we did at the Indy trade show in 2016..,

So.., thanks again,

It has been a long long road..,

Great looking ride. Like the wheels. Lol. My take on tillers.... mine took 5 years to build in my home shop......speedtech suspension, big brakes, 444 cid ls power. Etc etc. Nice job on your car.
