Default Need some help from you guys! 77' Camaro price check

A friend of mine is looking to get a 77' and came across this one located near us. It's super low mileage and looks to be in pretty awesome condition. Assuming that it's in excellent condition, what do you guys think this would be worth? We may head down to make an offer on it this coming Wednesday.

That VIN looks shady, ive seen some poor jobs, but never that poor. All those pictures and none of the engine bay? The bumper strip looks wavy and isnt secured on the drivers side, if I had to guess id say that it was replaced with something weird(its defiantly not a repop). Being a 77 makes it non smog exempt and less desirable there. I would say thats a solid $3000 car.

There are deals out there on these cars, and they have a ton of capability to be great cars! I love my 74:

My advice would be to wait for a different car, having to smog would be the dealbreaker. Unless you can afford the E-Rod combo that is...

Maybe its just my eyes, but the right front fender looks like a different shade than the door. And the fender extension/drop joint looks really dark.
I would go over every square inch and look for signs of a repaint.
Also as mentioned above, no engine bay shots. Look very close at everything. Make sure it will pass smog (dont trust the paperwork they have. You will have bery little recourse if it wont pass).
Or also mentioned above, wait for another car.

Edit: I just saw the VIN picture. Find another car. I have never, ever seen a vin tag like that on any second gen. Im not an expert, but it sure looks wrong. Almost looks photoshopped or something.
