Default Painting aluminum, stainless etc

So are there special steps or tips on painting aluminum or stainless etc as apposed to steel?

Best way to prep....Primer....different paint etc

Probably going to paint my radiators and Ricks tank etc.....

Never painted anything aluminum or stainless where I was worried about the final appearance and longevity etc

there are acid preps you apply and wash off for both to prep both materials. PPG or Axalta will have them
