Wow - looks great. Never really though of scratch building the rear pot metal pieces. Think I'll have to try it.

wow...unbelievable fabrication going on there. It don't want to bother you, I just want to sit and watch. I can't wait to see how this turns out.

Great thread.

Can you tell us a little about your alum/steel bonding process ?
What product are you using?
I assume you form a flat flange on the bottom of the scoop and that's what you are bonding to the hood surface.
How does this bonding cope with the different expansion rates of alum and steel ?
I've often wanted to join alum to steel on body work but was always concerned with this.

Great car although I much prefer the '68 Shelby front end to the '67 front end.

Thanks for all the photos I always learn so much from these well documented builds.

The adhesive we use is part of the lord fusor range it is specifically designed for bonding materials with different temperature expansion rates i.e fibreglass to metal, aluminum to metal etc ,most of the new cars now days are bonded.
