Default Mach C - a "66 Mustang" Built for turning

well, i'll keep the long story short. My other Mustang was totaled on the way back from the body shop. I got screwed by the 2 transporters and my insurance. so, i had to continue on a TIGHT budget.

What is the best performance chassis for the cost? I'd argue a LONG time that the C5 corvette is just this. so, i bought one.

I also really wanted the early Mustang coupe styling, like my last build//

Halloween 2021 I bought Elizabeth, the 66 notchback (aka coupe) and the C5 running chassis.

Many months later, the two are merging. I will probably put more pics of this later, but we will start here.

This looks like fun. Not sure I have seen someone do this combination. Good luck with it!

i started taking A LOT of measurements. I originally thought i would just buy the parts and make my own frame, rectangular steel, but the more i measured, the more i saw that the Mustang would just FIT right into the C5 chassis.

so, i built a cart for the 66 and started cutting off the extra sheet metal, basically as it turns out, anything except the outer shell was cut off.

it was quite a bit of work to get all the little pieces of sheet metal that were not needed off the shell. but hammering and cutting was kinda fun!

That had to be a ton of work and I am certain your ears are still ringing
