Mine was being driven daily for 20+ years by the guy I bought it from, it was free of rust, but pretty disgusting. Photos at the link below...

Here's my numbers 67 Camaro 396 RS/SS before and after. Yes, that is the right sequence, it looked better "before". Wait a minute, isn't it supposed to be the other way around?

Default Pace car

I would only do stuff to the pace car that I could unbolt. You could probably trade it for a nicer convertible and be way ahead in the game and do whatever you like to it with no guilt.

12 years ago I purchased my 69 for $1500 and proceeded to restore it for a daily driver (1.5 years)and drove it(6.5 yrs) . Pulled the motor for a swap 4 years ago not planning on doing anything else and look where I ended up. My car is an x11 code car built in Norwood, but it is not an SS. High option coupe that originally had 327/power glide with factory a/c,ps,pwr drum,vinyl top and style trim.
