Default GM hood hinge mod

Has anyone modified a GM musclecar hood hinge to use a hydraulic cylinder instead if a spring? Similar to the aftermarket ones out there now a days?

Only one I've seen is the Unique Performance Camaro design by Foose.

Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. Do you know if they are still available? I thought unique performance went out of business.

No I don't think they are still around nor are there any kits available. I don't think it would be to terribly hard to recreate them though.
