Default T56 Magnum help...

*also asked this question in the transmission section with no answers...figured it'd get more traction here

Guys, can someone give me a part number for a vehicle speed sensor for a Tremec T56 Magnum. I've looked up a part number and need to know if this will suffice.

See link >>>>> https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dfp-ss10569

Thumbs up

The Ford type sensor is 4400-640-019. Did your sensor go out?

No, my transmission is brand new. Finally, about to get my car running. I hadn't looked at it in a while. Does it come with it...? Also, if I do need one, the Ford part number is correct for my GM T56?

Bought mine from Jeg's years ago and the guy wiring my car says it's not there. So, I have to get one from Summit.

The number on mine is 10456577. Seems to be a Ford part. This is on a GM T56 Magnum.

It's the Ford sensor that goes in there. Always has been, same with the TKO/X.

I have never seen one with out it.

Are you sure your wiring guy isn't looking at the drivers side of the trans where the mechanical pickup would be?

Donny, that's exactly what he did. I told him it was there and to jack the car up and look on the passenger side and sure enough, it was there. He was thinking I had the TR6060 where it was normally on the driver's side.

Good deal. Make sure you get a plug for the drivers side, the rubber thing in there won't stay in there long.
