Don't get me wrong, I would love to have Brycen build me something all custom bent and hammered, the work is simply gorgeous. This is just a pretty much regular truck, I just don't get how this got up to 130k.

It's like that all original car that wasn't really all that great to drive when compared to modern cars. But it takes you somewhere the modern ones can't. I suppose it's a matter of what that's worth to a person.

BaT once again proves to us that yes indeed, there is an ass for every seat...

And I'm guilty of way over spending on my rides too!

A perfectly reasonable question. To most it is just a truck. But couple things lead to this. They only made 5295 f250 4x4 trucks in 1967 so taking time and decay into the equation finding one let alone in good shape is not too common. I made this one 4x4 using ford parts and proceeded to refurbish everything while adding creature comforts like electrici power steering, vintage air, Dakota Digital gauges, fully rewired with American Autowire and a list of other upgrades. Im not saying that every day of the week it's worth 130k but a paint job would have hurt the value by taking away 54 years of character. It has original lettering on it and belonged to the Iowa Realty Co. The new owner has ties to Iowa so he fell in love. Hope this helps justify some of it.

It also shows that not only did 1 guy think it was pretty valuable, but at least 2 guys did.

definitely, for those not familiar with these Ford trucks there have been a handful of these bringing 6 figures for the past 2-3 years even before the crazy pandemic market. I do know that the new owner is an avid high-end car collector and has been in shop jail with two other trucks for a bit now. He is ecstatic to have a well-built truck, that is exactly the way he wants it, that he can drive right now and not have the headache that some shops give customers. I don't see it as a sign of the coming pop because the 2 top bidders were both business owners, had the money, and knew exactly what they wanted. And based on what I know of them, 130k to them is like $100 to me.
