Default 67 camaro Inside hood latch wanted

I purchased the inside hood latch system from screaming performance. The quality is a joke. Its all from a VW. driving down the road my hood came unlatched. Does anyone know of a high end inside latch system for the 67 camaro.

Thank you

Jim

If it's just the latch part of the assembly that is garbage then there are better options available to replace it with. The VW piece can be quite flimsy, I have on also, but VW made better quality ones, and I believe Porsche made even better ones again that should fit.
they're just a little hard to find on eBay

As an example, here's an ad for a 944 latch, obviously its old and poor condition but you can see the quality is far better than the cheaper made VW parts.

I think the problem is cheap offshore repop latches. Even an original VW latch would be better.

Those repop latches can be found for $10 or so. Here’s one for $4

Oh well, this sucks to hear. I have the Screaming Performance piece as well. As far as Lokar, they make the cable assembly, but not the latching mechanism.

So the safety catch did not keep the hood from lifting up? Show us some pics please.
