Default 69 Nova AMD firewall

I’m having a problem fitting this firewall. The bottom fits great but the top seems too wide. I can get both sides to fit pretty well but above the distributor recess the firewall is almost buckling. If can get it to sit pretty flat but it takes quite a bit of pressure pushing it flat to the cowl lip. Anyone have this problem before?

I would enlarge those fender bolt holes and do a little trimming as needed. Not unusual.

not surprising for a flat edge like that to not lay right. Shrink a few spots or a couple relief cuts.
