No thank you. Been there done that. Getting to old to carry around excess baggage.

Working on remote coil mounts today. I originally was using some ADE remote mounts that bolt to the rear of the cylinder head. Worked perfect until I decided to slide the engine further back and lost my firewall clearance... Picked up some Holley remote coil mounts. These can be mounted anywhere. I wanted for them to be hidden so opted to mount them on the frame rails.

I built some spacers to gain the clearance needed for the coils to clear the frame, and machined a recess on the bottom to sit over the nutserts I installed in the frame, so the spacers would sit flat. Next up is to build the plug wires to fit.

That's going to make plugs and plug wire changes a breeze. Looks great, Jody.

I bought some universal LS wires from Taylor. These come with ceramic plug boots, rated to 2000*F. I will be adding some plug wire sleeves from Thermotec for additional protection.

One tip I wanted to throw out for those who assemble their own plug wires. Even with soapy water or grease it can be a struggle getting the wires pushed through the boots before adding the terminals. Mc Kay makes a brake assembly lube which is far superior for assembling rubber to rubber, o-rings in cylinders, etc. One bottle will last for a long time, I've had this same small bottle for 15+ years. It only takes a drop or two, and really speeds up assembly time.

Cool

Liking those wires Jody, plus every time I see the welds from Roadster Shop I go "wow".

Crossing some small items off my list while I wait on parts. Tweaked the 1/2" stainless hard lines and built a rear muffler hanger that bolts to the chassis; that way nothing is supported by the body itself. Finally got to use my rod bender from Eastwood...

Clean work there Jody,

My those are some big mufflers you have there,

I sourced some quiet turbos mufflers long ago, now the companies long gone,

Normally I have to mod the seat brackets to get them low enough for me, but the TMI units are lower right out of the box.

Seats are super comfortable, and feel like they'll hold me in place very well. Super happy with the TMI stuff.
Jody,
What material is on the TMI seats?
Thanks!
