Tremec doesn't make a "Super" magnum. One of those links is a kit and the other is just the transmission. Just a fancy name I guess, the tranny is still a TUET11009

This part number is from GM p/n 19301620
they want $3999 for just the trans and the MSRP is around $4500. I was wondering what the difference is for an extra $1000.

If its GM part# because its a kit for GM put together for GM cars. Looks like it has a special shifter for maybe a F-body GTO etc. I would also call it super over the OEM T56 lol. The links you posted shows one as a kit.

That's the one on Chevrolet.com but this part number doesn't show it as a kit which is why I asked .

The instruction sheet I posted shows it comes with some things for installation.

I am not sure but I think I read somewhere that GM Performance was offering the Super Magnum from their catalog. I don't really know the differences but the shifter position is not the same as the Magnum. From what I remember the ratios are the same and the torque ratings are also. Don't hold me to any of this though because I might be dreaming!

Your not dreaming. Schwartz makes mention of the new Super Magnum, over on their LT1 crate thread.

So im about to order my ls3 t56 kit from pace performance and the t56 is a super magnum .What really is the difference between the t56 mag and t56 super magnum? The kit comes with the super magnum but if i can piece it together and just get the reg mag and save money i would be happy.

Opinions please?

Also would you go with the ls3 430hp version and upgrade later with better parts or get the plug and play 480hp version right away?
