So instead of finishing up the exhaust on the race car I have been
cleaning up the New Ta... Exhaust, lowering it... stereo
with blue tooth, etc... My future son in law picked up
a 78 Ta with 26k (white car) miles on it.. he is changing belts, exhaust
tips and heater core next
Trying to decide how far I take my car as it is a nice driver now
406 Dart engine etc or Ls???... by the way the 70 firebird on the left
is my buddies, full cage, ridetech suspension with a 448 LS engine
Getting close to finishing it up... he plans on racing the hell out of it

Finally finished the exhaust... did the two 3" Sprint car
Mufflers along with a 4 1/2" straight exhaust for tracks that
allow. Finishing up a bunch of little things but almost ready
for a test run

Eleven months after receiving my SB-2 engine back we finally
got it to run last night... we were chasing an electrical issue
and finally after many hours figured out the Gm Weather connectors
to the dizzy magnets (we have a dual ignition system) were flipped from
the old Hendricks engine to the Hutter Sb-2 engine
The car sounded like it was out of time and backfiring badly
but we never touched the dizzy since the Dyno

All good now... hoping to test at Thunderhill on Feb 23rd if the
weather is good

Finally took the Race Car down the street this last weekend
Going to tune and test on Friday at Thunderhill to see how
things shake out. Car's turning radius not the best as the tires
hit the duel cooling hoses for the front brakes. Just no U turns
with this Car. I have another wiring issue with the inline fans
on the brakes. I finally plugged them in and two fans stay on
all the time and the other two are on switches..... some how they
seem to be backfeeding into the starter.. another wiring issue
to deal with later... won't need them yet for a tune and test day

So took the the race car to Thunderhill last weekend
Biggest issue was seeing overing the Big cowl hood
on right hand turns...put some foam under the seat
and it was a little better.... Car then got a meatballed for
sound 105 and 107 on a 103 day,,,,,, pedaled it around the
track in a higher gear for the next round... putting a different
air cleaner and a lower hood on the car..,,, adding another set
of mufflers on the car.....
Racing with CFRA on April 1st at Laguna on a 105 day
First shakedown not bad for a new car....hoping to do well
against a McClaren and Lotus... time will tell
