Thanks Guys Watching the builds here and being able to discuss your projects helped a lot.
I don't doubt the work is going to be excellent and never did. I'm excited to get it home, its been a long road.

About 4 years ago I kept having problems with body shops meeting my deadlines or the quality of the work.. I went & got a bigger shop to support my body/paint needs in house.. It is the biggest pain in the A$$ of what we do here.. but I no longer have to deal with explaining to a customer why we are behind on their build or the quality..

I feel for you Wayne.. but their is light @ the end of the tunnel!

I got an email from Mike, the new pick up date is June 30th.
The wifes going to her sisters house for 3 weeks to unwind when school gets out. So I'll be alone when it gets done so I can go pick it up.
I just got my XFI back from FAST with the 2.0 and new updates. So that will be ready. I wish I had an engine run stand so I could try it before I put it in the car.
Does a dyno shop run your engine on their engine dyno using your ECU?

Yes they do -- and the right one will tune the snot out of it for you -- so that when you install it in the car - the new software you just had installed would be able to correct the VE tables as needed. That's the beauty of the new 2.0 software.

Went back to catch up on the thread Wayne... and the only thing I can say is -- the reason I have a big ole shed in my backyard... is because of the things that everyone mentioned here... the over priced - under delivered - shoddy work - or lack of work... I finally figured if it was going to take forever and be done halfassed I might as well do it myself. I can do something over 3 times and it's still cheaper than sending it out...

Having said that -- the '32 build reinforced all of those reasons. Am I happy - yes - could I build it this well - Heck no - but I could have built 3 of them for the $$ in the one.

I have a buddy - some folks will meet next week in Pleasanton - that spent 10 YEARS building his car - including painting in his two car garage... the car is friggin' fantastic... so it can be done!

I hear ya Greg. Until last fall I didn't even have a set place to keep it. It was in a common space garage. (No separation walls) before I sent it to get done. I went in one day and the owner had a couple of 2x6's leaning on the car. I sh*t a brick it was a beat up old car but it was mine. a couple of years later after that The wife and I went out and refinanced the house and got money for a garage. Not quite enough because garages end up like cars way over budget! Now its almost ready for the car, I'm doing some wiring and trying to get it set, at least it will be here with me.

Slowhawk is good at tuning but only has a Mustang chassis dyno.
He is extremely good at tuning the factory GM computers.

If you want an expert in FAST and BigStuff3 then I'd recommend Quest Racing. I think if you call the fast tech guys and ask for a tuner in the area they will recommend Mike at Quest. His engine dyno is good for 3000hp+
He is in Worcester MA. I used to work at New England Dyno & Tuning and he was right next door. We had the chassis dyno he had the engine dyno.
Not sure if he is still there.
