I use a RaceQuip tow strap from Summit bolted inside the frame horn to one of the bumper mount bolts. I tuck it inside behind the lower valance panel and if needed I simply reach in under the bumper and pull it out. On a side note, I installed a 69 Camaro flip down rear tag bracket on my 68 and mounted a second tow strap to the center bracket of the rear bumper and tuck that strap up behind the tag bracket when not in use. To access it I just pull the tag down and pull out the strap. Unless you know where to look you will not see my tow hooks.
