Default LS3 starter choice

Which starter did you guys use for your LS3 with a Manual trans ?? The GMPP instruction sheet states use the 10465385 starter. I have been coming across another starter, #299. How about the starter bolts ? Thanks!

That part number is stupid money, it might be an awesome starter....

Try this.
ACDelco Starters 12617229

ACDelco 11610787 bolts

ACDelco PT170 GM Original Equipment 1-Way Female Black Multi-Purpose Pigtail to plug into the starter.

All in for less than 150.

Or a Powermaster 9201 comes with bolts and has a bolt on connection for the 'S' wire.

I like that starter too. That's the gen 5 Camaro unit. There is also a nice OEM heat shield that mounts to it. I used it on my Cougar.
