Default My new ride

After selling the Trans Am, I decided I'd get a truck. I've always liked squarebodies and decided that's what I would find. Just something cool to cruise around in that doesn't really need anything.

Not sure what category it falls into. I guess you can call it Old-touring, Slow-touring, Pro-grandpa maybe? I dig the colors which is why I bought it. Has a 305 and auto trans. It's so slow, lol. I love it.

Joe-Touring.

The average guy in an average build doing average stuff. It's a fairly big club

Joe-touring. That's a pretty good description.

No big plans. I have a son due in a few weeks so I have no desire to start anything project wise. I just want something to cruise.

Over the long haul though, whatever I do it will keep the classic, factory look. It will stay this color and have the trim etc. I'll upgrade the engine and keep the carb look even though it will be EFI. I'll decide later if I go LS or stay SBC. I'm sure I'll upgrade the brakes as I prefer the look of rear disc. The frame will be stiffened. I may do a four link in the rear since I've never done that before. None of this will happen any time soon though. I'm headed to the local show first thing in the morning. That's what I'll do with this thing mainly.

Thanks

Trucks are a blast. I got my 69c10, and drive it 10x as much as my camaro.

I’m putting new driveline in it now and it’s been fun knowing it’s just a cruiser/driver with the only expectation being reliable and fun to cruise.

Really like the look of the square body you got.

I thought for a second that I was looking at my nephews truck. Pretty close to having the same paint and wheels.
