I also think if geared right for great low end torque less hp for me is OK. I like the plant ya in the seat acceleration and not so much going 150mph. But like Steve said got have a quality booty behind the big belly to keep her stable.
well my old motor made 600 with spray, the motor i have now will make about 1000, i allready have plans to start a finding parts for a new motor in two years that will make about 1600 and be street driven
Depends on what you're building, how you will use it, and how much seat time you have.
-What good is 750HP if it can't hook up or will break parts when it does hook up?
-And what good is big power if you will run out of talent trying to apply it?
I say there is no real limit as long as it is reliable and you aren't rebuilding a motor every 5000 mile. Also you gotta have a drivetrain that can handle the power and not be shelling trannies and rear ends all the time. Another viable option for turbo motors especially is to have more than one program for your ecu. Maybe a 103 octane race setting with high boost then a 91-93 octane low boost setting for driving around town.
You have to tell them if you want to have insurance. They ask what engine, specs, etc. Insurance companys are not dumb like they use to be. They know all about pro-touring, pro street cars. They even have a handle on old cars using turbos, superchargers etc. They were selling insurance at the Detroit Autorama 2006 event.
