Default Pics of Dynatech LS first gen camaro headers as requested

Had some requests for pictures of how Dynatech LS headers fit in First gen camaros. They are 3/8 flanges, 4 bolt donut style collector, tig welded and 1 7/8 primaries with 3 inch collectors.

They DO require msd wires or similar, as two cylinders must be rerouted...... but they fit nice and have a ton of ground clearance. Nice thick tubes, high quality material. Very nice polished ceramic coating, done by Nitroplate, not like some of the other brands flat, coarse ceramic..... great value for the price.

I don't work for dynatech or anything, just had some requests to show some pics.....

Also note, this is installed with ATS motor plates.

Those are Speedtech control arms in the pictures, on a stock subframe. These headers also clear speedtech subframes with a rear steer rack. I am not sure about stock subframes with a flaming river rack conversion, but there is a ton of room down there so I am sure they will fit.

I also know these headers work Awesome for a tri five chevy ls1 conversion, and also clear a jim meyer tubular control arm and rack conversion for a tri five.

Looks great, Tyler. How close is the #4 primary to the upper control arm?

Did dynatech say they would fit or do you have some first hand experience? I will order up a set if this is the case and thanks for posting.

Default Headers with a steering box

Anyone have experience using these headers and a 600 steering box? These headers are a really good buy I think.

There is a solid 3/4 inch between the control arm and the header. That is without any alignment shims though. But if you need 3/4 inch of alignment shims then how about buying a new subframe!??!??

I have installed them in a speedtech subframe and a 55 belair frame. Both fit nicely. Here is the catch. I made m own motor plates that set the motor back an additional 3/4 from the ats plates, which gives more than enough room for the steering joint on the rack. if the motor sat 3/4 inches farther ahead, you would not be able to use only two u joints and 1 shaft to hook up the rack, you would need a hanger and a third u joint.

Other than that, they clear everything else with a bunch of room.

I have no experience with rear steer boxes, we have always been selling rack kits.

Nice! It looks like they would clear a steering box also.
