Default disassembling 3 piece wheels for refinishing

My new to me BMW has Kinesis 3 piece wheels. Can I unbolt the centers myself and reinstall them or is this something that needs to be done by a wheel maker or refinisher? Do the bolts have to be replaced at the same time? I've never dealt with multi piece wheels before. Just curious.

Thanks

Never mind. I did a general search on Bing for rebuilding 3 piece wheels and found all the information that I needed. I wish I had thought of that before posting.

So, the answer is, yes, you can do it yourself. You just have to make sure the hardware is in good condition and the bolts aren't torque to yield (TTY) bolts.

Here's a good thread.

Truth. I’m guessing anti-seize is probably your friend on those bolts too. Maybe that fancy ARP ultra torque stuff.

That I'm not sure of. I'm thinking anti-seize or loctite. I'd have to investigate that before I started. I'll be asking for some more advice and input eventually as I do intend to pull these wheels apart for inspection and a serious cleaning/polishing if nothing else. I have no idea if or when they were last resealed.

Thanks
