Default Camaro Performers Sept 2011

This car is not pro-touring, but almost was. Randy Johnson sold us his blue '66 Chevelle right before our '68 Camaro was going to go under the knife. Nick at Camaro Performers liked the story of how we found the car and managed to pry it away from the previous owner enough to do an article. No one was more surprised than myself to see it on the cover.
Thanks to Nick Lacata for the press and to Rob McGaffin for taking the awesome pictures.

I just got my copy of CP in the mail today. As soon as I saw your name on the first page of the article I said to myself, "Hey, I know this guy!!"

Beautiful car Chris, and it shows in the always awesome photography by Robert!!
Great story too....funny, you seemed the stalker type to me LOL

Will this car be anywhere local for us lucky ones that live close to you?? I'd love to see it in person.

Scott

It was in the parking lot of Hero's West the night we met for dinner before the Heidt's event. I'm sure you'll get to check it out at a cruise night somewhere.
Hope you get yours back soon and everything goes well.

Worked out great for the cover since it's a kick ass car AND it's NOT PT.. gotta appeal to all of our readers

Steve

Thanks for the comments. The Camaro would have made a bad azz PT car, but in the end I just liked it too much the way it was. Everything works out for a reason.
Just need to save for a LS engine for Lynda's Chevelle so I can get her 496 big block in the Camaro!
