I've owned an asymmetrical BendPak for about 9 years now. Never once a problem with it.

I think they are made overseas now, not sure if they were when I bought mine.

I've known a few guys with off brand Chinese lifts and they seem to be a bit less reliable. (problems with pulleys and cables/etc).

And as mentioned, get low profile arms. One of the lifts at the shop I work at was ordered without them and it can be a real pain in the ass.
