I'm a little fuzzy on this, so I could be wrong, but I think the black one was in the Top 5 - not sure about the green one? Anyone remember? There was also a black and (very dark) green 3 or 5 window in the Top 5, that I liked. I was sure either it or the (blk?) JHR car was going to win. They just seemed to be a cut above the rest (IMHO). I can remember their positions in the line-up (inside the building) and even hear some of the interviews in my head, but can't really picture any of the cars clearly. The SMOY Top 5, on the other hand, is burned in my memory - cars, line-up, colors, builders (except the gold Stang?), etc. That's weird for me, because I typically do the exact opposite (street rods stick, street machines fade). I can remember the winners of SMOY for the past three years, but very few of the Top 5's (without looking at my pics). That's not taking anything away from the builders and the other cars, because I remember there were some awesome cars - just not really my cup of tea in my old age.

You can see the build pictures for this years SROY on
http://www.fastlanerodshop.com/

You can appreciated perhaps why it won when you see some of the build pics.

Thia is the 3rd SROY for Dave. That;s a tremendous accomplishment! I don't think anybody else can say that. He builds some great cars.
