Just got a load from Homedepot last night and am headed out this a.m. to start framing up the workshop side. We just finished the bathroom remodel and I am very happy with it. It turned out so nice that I don't want to put that deep sink into regular shop action. So, it is dual plumbed already (set up to put a sink on either side of the wall). I am dropping a second sink with the sole purpose of being allowed to get filthy dirty on the other side.

I am starting out by framing a 4'x4' closet with a 3.0 door to house the air compressor. Not sure yet how I am going to vent it, or if I will just leave the upper 2' open (short of the framing studs). I am hoping to use the exterior walls to hold the hose real, drier, and a box with all my common air equipment and air oil, etc.

I am also framing in a 4' wide office/desk to T off and around to the main workbench. Anyway, as of this moment it is a mess out there with $600 in drywall, 2x4s and other supplies stacked in the middle from last night. So...off I go to spend the day Measuring TWICE, and cutting once. However, in my case it is more like measure five or six times, then cut, grind, shave, pound and force fit the pieces until it looks okay. Then, there is always a dab of caulk to finish off what I couldn't cut straight!

On the floor, I am now convinced I will do the simple cheap 12"x12" sticky tile in the bathroom (black & white) checker board. Then in the main shop once everything is installed I will do the floor in Epoxy paint like Groovyjay!
