Default how much hp and tq till...........?

i have to box my 67 chevy swb frame? i got a 588ci engine in the works and want to know if i should box my frame and or roll cage it before hand. i need to replace the rear end to handle it, so i was wondering since i will make it shorter, how wide of a wheel and tire combo could i fit back there without chopping the frame. thanks for any help.

If you are putting a 588ci setup in there you should reinforce that frame as much as possible.

I know I'm boxing my Chevelle frame rails and reinforcing the rear trailing arm pickup points.

It also depends on what tire you will use. The more the tires hook the more you will twist and torque the chassis.

Depending on your budget, something you may want to consider if you are planning on putting serious horsepower or cornering force through your truck...

Right now we are running 345's on all four corners and a 704hp/671lb ft LS motor.
