Thanks for the interest Mike, My machinist said that he should be able to get the sleeves done this week. It has me TOTALLY stoked. I can't wait to see what this thing looks like with some rollers under it. Plus I'm kind of excited to tackle the process of making the tires.

I don't have anything new to post yet. I am unfortunately still waiting on the wheels.

alright. With the new computer up and running, it is time to get back on some of these projects I've got going. I've piddled around with this a little bit. All of the lights are mounted, as is the rear bumper and spoiler. I begain work on the intake. I will not be doing the harrop intake that I had planned. Instead I will be going with a sheetmetal type intake. Still no word from my machinist on the wheels.

money shot

nice back end

Going for the modern blacked out trim

Here is where I am at on the intake. I have the main body complete. All it needs is some filler work here and there. I will do one runner and then throw it in the mix to be cast that way each of them is identical, eliminating any problems. I will also make some flanges that will mount to the head. There is no need for a valley cover built into the manifold, as the LSx series has its own. And naturally there will be fuel rails and plenty of plumbing.

How about a REAL update??

After some work, and some resin casting, we now have an ALMOST complete intake manifold. I need to source some small button head screws for the top of the manifold (anyone know where to get some? preferably just the heads). I've also got a pair of complete rotors for the front. I'm going to try and source some rotors and calipers from the 1/12th Skyline kit for the rear, so as to not have to completely scratch another set of rotors and calipers. The rotors also are in paint. As is the engine block and heads, as well as a set of 4 wheel centers.....finally. All were painted with model masters metalizers. I had some trouble with my airbrush....seems I have a hole in my airline which I found after I was done spraying, and thought it was a problem with the brush. But I am happy with the result. I am debating on whether to hit the wheel centers with some clear just to make them pop, and give them the powder coated look. (got that tip from Clay Kemp, he used it on his chopper build). And yes, I am STILL waiting on the sleeves. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the engine assembled. I need to add some bolt heads to the valley cover, paint those, and then I can assemble the heads and intake. Then it will be time to get started on the brake calipers. I am leaning toward a one peice BAER unit. Here are the pics, comments and criticisms please!

Freddy,

Looks like I should have waited for you to return. lol. Since I've got about 35 bucks in the stock that I sent my machinst, I'm going to wait for him to finish them. HOPEFULLY SOON!!!!! I can't wait to see this thing with the wheels.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I hope to have a good bit of the fuel system finished tomorrow. Injectors rails and a regulator are on the table for work tomorrow.

Keep those comments rolling they are the inspiration

Russell

How about updates two days in a row!!! Got the heads mounted, along with some head gaskets. I've spent some time on the intake manifold as well. It now has injectors, wiring and fuel rails. My batteries died before I got a mock up with the intake on the engine, So I'll update again later tonight!
