Dual disc clutch recommendations?
It is time to ditch my T-56 trans & LT pull style clutch setup and upgrade to a Magnum and dual disc clutch. This is behind a 502 based big block with a 1 piece main seal. My engine is internally balanced. It has 700 ft/lb. of torque.
Having heard great things, my thought was to use a Centerforce DYAD, but Centerforce tells me they have no flywheel for the 1 piece seal crank that is internally balanced.
The only twin disc setup I have found is a McCleod RST clutch. They can offer either an aluminum (my choice) or steel flywheel. Then there is an adapter ring that bolts to the flywheel to mount the dual disc setup.
I am looking for any experiences with the RST clutch setup, good or bad, or any other options I have missed.

Monster LT1-S if they have the flywheel you need. I do not know if they do anything for big blocks, but I loved this clutch behind my LS-based engine. Uses GM disks and pressure plate from the C7 LT1, has the holding power you need, and is a very smooth stock-like feel. I never had a problem with it at all.

That isn't the exact setup you need, but it's where to start looking. Give them a call to see if they have what you need.

I couldn't be happier with my RAM clutch. Best dual disc clutch I've ever used in any car for street and track.
Give them a call and see what they can do for your combo.

Put a McLeod in my Cuda just recently behind a 6.1 HEMI and t56....... and at idle, out of gear, with the clutch out its loud as hell...... sounds like rod knock.... talked to Bowler and McLeod and they both stated "yep... thats the way they are..... no spring , so the plates tend to vibrate and make noise"... WTF? Its brand new and $1300, so I'm kind of stuck with it now.... my only hope is that it gets better as it gets broken in.... fingers crossed

After a little more research and talking to Centerforce, they DO have a dyad for my setup. As they are supposed to be quiet, are only a little more than McLeod, and look like a very stout setup, I am pretty sure that is the way I’m headed.

I strongly urge you to check out the new tilton street twin. Im very impressed with mine and everything is billet and completely rebuildable.

Been happy with my Spec Supertwin ST trim. Has held all the power i've asked it to so far (1000+rwhp) and friends is consistently holding 1500rwhp.
Drives very well and pedal pressure is not too firm. Does make a little noise clutch out in neutral, but almost un-noticeable above the idle of the car (and my car isn't loud).

RPS BC2 in my Chevelle. It’s pricey, but it’s carbon which means crazy long life. Zero chatter and it’s smooth as butter. My wife could drive the car easily.
