With the shell being prepped, we started to dig into what we really wanted the car to look like.

Wide. Definitely wide. And low. Did I mention wide?
This was the first loose sketch of the 'feel' of the car. 2nd one at the bottom, more of an exploration as to how different a direction we were heading form the stock shell.

Shell up on the table and the beginnings for the chassis layout and construction.

Looks somewhat 'normal' with this setup. We don't want normal...

Did I say wide?

Its just started and I am already in love with this thread. Yes, I actually want to marry it. Spare us no details of the build please. (And what is the full track width anyway ? 78" ?)

Is this a customer (GoPro) car or a design exercise for the shop? Either way I love it and can't wait to watch it come together!

This had to be a great excersise in your ability to trust your design. I cant imagine saying "well this is one of the best shells we have ever had. Now lets cut it up and make it really wide" Great job guys!!

I don't want to ruin this for you, but this car was debuted at SEMA. Now they are pulling the curtain back to see what went into the build.
