Default Bye bye roof panel!

20 minutes and 3 cutoff wheels to remove the roof panel (not including window/rail seams) Will also have to replace front most roof support. Hopefully this is *last* surprise!

Pic of the new roof panel, hopefully it will fit well:

Removed old roof rails and remaining roof panel edges at the front and rear windows by grind out the spot welds.

Installed new roof drip rails:

Default rust never sleeps

So besides the rust along the window channels on the roof panel, I knew this small hole was hiding a bigger problem.... check out the pics, the second one is the underside of the roof panel near the driver's a-pillar.

Thanks tones2SS, I knew the hole would be bigger, but I didn't expect the underlying support to need replacement too...LOL. At least I'll know what I've got when I'm done. I've seen a few local guys patch these cars at the front window channel - which just isn't worth it considering the cost of the roof panel etc..
