Good progress Marty.

You are definitely putting your own unique McFly touch on it!

Default Afco Fan Shroud Redo (( 08-02-20 ))

So being honest this part has not been fun.

Time to remove all of the paint and create a new way to mount the fan shroud.

Close enough to take it over to get painted.

Remember this edge from the first picture.

Marty,
Your level of detail surpasses mine and the Camaro is really nice. It took me the last few evenings to get through all the pages. Very informative and I took a few notes ! I need to learn to use more blue tape. Is there a preferred brand and best place to purchase?

Thank you for the kind words.

I like the 3M tape the best and even though I pass two Home Depot’s on my way home from work I still go to Ace Hardware hoping to get a chunky bar.

Default New Upper Mounts for the Radiator (( 08-17-20 ))

Time to make a better mouse trap.

I decided to go in a new direction with how the radiator was secured in place. Keeping with the "KISS Principle - Keep It Stupid Simple" I decide to make a flat bracket they will attach directly to the Core support with rubber Well Nuts.

And I might as well have Dennis "High Speed Welding" create a different way to mount the fan shroud.

and might as well fix the inlets/outlets so they match the waterpump.

Only one day later it's ready for me to pick up.

Default Test Fitting the Radiator (( 08-26-20 ))

Now that the Afco "Direct Fit" Radiator is home and modified so it will work I might as well test fit it.

Cutting up some cheap radiator hose to make make sure I order the correct size hoses.

Next up...drill holes in the Core Support.

Eventually I will drill the holes larger and install "Well Nuts"

Works perfect

Testing a 3" Hose that I borrowed from a friend

Perfect Gap.

Looking good, Marty. Are you going to use pipe and couplings for the coolant hoses? Those glass coolant pipes are cool!

Default Billet Optima Front Mount Battery Tray. (( 09-07-20 ))

Since I plan to drive this car and really don't want the hassle of having a battery in the trunk. Ron from Wilson Muscle Cars and I designed a factory fit Billet Tray for the battery. Actually it was my idea and Ron drew it up and I had TJ make a few of these.

Since I am running the Anvil Carbon/Fiberglass Inner fenders. I can't use the inner fender to support the battery tray in the front. My solution is to drill a hole in my inner fender and run a support rod up from the Core Support bracket.

Good News...I found something to replace the Chunky Bars.

Default Wiring, Wiring & more Wiring ((09-07-20 ))

Just cleaning up things a little bit.

Adding 40amp fuse which will also act as my kill switch.

The best $10.00 I have ever spent.

Final destination is the distribution block.
